I like what this poem says about the passage of time and how it can be subtle. “The dissembling Breeze” (4) hints without assuming, making the heart reflect on the things it doesn’t often consider. There’s a quiet emotion and reflection to this poem that is really interesting.

I really like the idea of this poem hinting at a dissembling breeze, where change happens quietly without any clear announcement. I also thought it was interesting how the passage of time is framed almost like a bittersweet maturation. The crickets and crows appear without assuming anything, yet the heart still has to put up its fun, almost as if September’s “baccalaureate” forces it to grow more reflective. It feels like time passing quietly pushes you to leave some of that carefree joy behind.
